Seabloom Miniature Horses and Newfoundland Dogs

Welcome to Seabloom Mini Ranch!
We raise Miniature Horses and Newfoundland Dogs, in the South Cariboo region of British Columbia. We periodically have registered minis as well as CKC Newfoundland puppies for sale to approved homes.

Our biggest hobby is a sanctuary for special needs and geriatric Miniature Horses. This is not a funded rescue. Though at times it has gotten expensive and we are grateful to all who have helped by purchasing from us.
We do driving demonstrations, a little showing, as well as educational displays
put on at our Country Fair each year. This helps teach people about
Miniature Horses and gives an opportunity for everyone of all ages to pet
the minis and ask questions. We do some therapy work and have taken our minis to hospitals, etc. We enjoy them so much and love to see others have fun with them too.

Farm visitors come to see our beautiful Newfoundland dogs and our Miniature Horses. We also have three purebred Arabian horses and a Welsh Mountain Pony. We raise a few Miniature foals each year to help towards the expenses of our collection of special needs and geriatric minis. Many of which, we rescued to give them a better life.

Due to the rising costs to care for our collection of special needs and/or geriatric horses, we sadly must part with a few of our nice mini mares. Good homes are a priority. We will consider some part trades and even a few payments if we feel it is a great home. If interested, then it can't hurt to ask!

Our Newfoundland dogs are a very BIG part of our family. They have us wrapped around their big paws. They live in the house with us and love to be with us outside too. We have 7 pets ranging in ages 1 yrs to 8 yrs. They are not kennel dogs. Pictured below is Maggie, as usual, carrying a stuffed toy with her.

As we need to keep numbers at a comfortable level, we only had one foal in 2012. But, she is a beauty!

Betsy is a pretty black filly. Her sire and dam are both Appaloosas with spots. Who knows what her colour could do! She is AMHA registered and as her sire and dam are also AMHR, she is eligible as well.

We raise Newfoundland Dogs. These gentle giants are important members of our family. Pictured, is Grizzly. He is a rare brown Newfoundland. His unusual rich red brown colour darkens in winter & brightens in the summer. Grizzly is the sire of our Newfoundland puppies.

Royal is a purebred Welsh Mountain Pony. Section A.
Sired by Youngs Country Rock
In 2005 she was Supreme Reserve Champion judged by a judge from Wales. I am planning to have her under saddle soon for the Grandkids.
Maybe I will even drive her if I get some pony sized tack and get her trained! We are working on ground driving now and Royal is fun and willing.

These two beautiful purebred Arabian sisters belonged to a good friend who passed away. I promised to find a good home together but it didn't work out for them. So, of course, we had to bring them home. These girls came with our own sacrifices though. Now some of my personal minis are for sale to good homes. These girls may be available for a free lease locally. But only to the right home for them together.

Annie is a purebred Arabian 1990 mare. She has rare and treasured bloodlines. She is 100% Davenport and Al Khamsa, Blue List.
Annie is not for sale. But if you are looking for a nice Davenport Arabian, check out Cottonwood Arabians.
I hope that this year, Annie and I can enjoy trail rides together.

Meet Willow

Meet Willow. Every barn needs a cat. Willow is one of the many abandoned kitties
which have shown up for a free meal. She had been seen for years, but never came
close. The summer of 2010 she moved into the barn and had a litter of four kittens. It didn't take long for her to make friends and now she is spayed and happy to be pampered with the freedom to come and go as she pleases. She seems to prefer to hang out with me while I do chores. Willow can be seen lounging on top of the hay bales with a good view of everything, snuggled into her cozy bed.
